Shiner

This one time at band camp, there was this guy that everyone just loved named Shiner. The bull-dog-jocks loved him, the poodle cheerleaders loved him, the collie-math-whizzes loved him, the greyhound-track-stars loved him &, most importantly, all of his band mates loved him!  He was just swell...

Guess what, you're the lucky human who stumbled across the bio of that lovable leader-of-the-band! It's me! Shiner! A 1.5 year-old, 35 lb German shorthaired pointer/cattle dog mix who is described as easy-going, friendly & all-around awesome! Somehow I ended up in an area shelter & am oh-so-thankful to have been rescued by my fantastic Foster Family! I really enjoy the company of people (even little kids!) and I have gotten along swell with all canine pals I've met but I have yet to encounter any cats.  Of course, like all pups, I'll need to make sure that all band members get along prior to making a life-time commitment!

I'm a very fast learner & my Foster Mom is very impressed with how many basic obedience commands I've learned in just a few days. And, guess what?!? I'm already potty-trained! In my free time, I enjoy playing with toys, snuggling and receiving ear scratches (if you scratch long enough, I'll lift up my front leg a bit which my Foster Mom says is super cute!)

If you're on the search for a happy, fun, energetic & popular guy, please email pawscoadoptions@gmail.com or fill out an adoption application on the Paws & Co. Adoptions website today!

Elly (for CO Canine Rescue)

"Follow your passion. Stay true to yourself. Never follow someone else's path unless you're in the woods and you're lost and you see a path. By all means, you should follow that."

Haha!  Hi'ya! I'm Elly, a 1 year-old Shar-Pei/PitBull mix who chooses to live a optimistic, happy life - just like my namesake, Ellen DeGeneres!  I could just as easily have been named Sunshine as my smile is like a ray of sunshine and my soulful green/gray eyes remind folks of sunflowers!

My first not-so-great human used me to breed a couple litters and then dumped me without a thought.  Don't worry, IT'S ALL GOOD as I was picked up by my suh-weet foster mom (right before my time was "up") and driven all the away from New Mexico to the awesome city of Denver where I'm living the good life!  My foster mom and canine siblings are giving me tons of TLC & cuddles - and they promise that I'll never be neglected again (and, since I'm such an optimist, I believe them!!)  After a few days of safety, I'm even flashing my HUGE smile all around town!

Just like Ellen, I LOVE dancing & I like to "dance" on my hind legs to try & get humans' attention (unfortunately, my foster mom says this dance move isn't polite behavior from a well-behaved canine citizen so I'm focusing on my other moves as well :)  In addition to my stellar dancing abilities, I'm crate-trained, potty-trained, love car rides and I'm quickly learning basic obedience commands.  I'd never been on a leash-walk prior to the last few weeks but I THROUGHLY ENJOY hikes, leash walks, jogs and trips around town...if there's happy-dog-human-joy around, I'm game!  While I get along great with all canines and adult humans I've encountered, I have yet to meet any felines or young children so if these creatures are part of your family, please inquire specifically about our potential compatibility.

If you're looking for a sweet, loving, ray of sunshine to share your family with, then I'm definitely your gal!  And, if we're ever lost on a hike and we find a path, by all means we'll take it together!

If you are interested in adopting me, please submit an adoption application located on our website, www.coloradocaninerescue.org.  I promise they will contact you ASAP!.  P.S - I am spayed and up to date on vaccinations.

Butterscotch bio

I wish this bio was in audio instead of written format. You see, I'm one cool dude who is a rocker through and through (from my black eyeliner to my gold hair to my ability to fit into skinny jeans (well...the latter is just in my imagination...but still...)).  I'm Butterscotch - but you can call me Scotchy for short (sounds cooler, eh?)  I'm a 1-2 year-young pup who, like all adolescents is learning how to become a stellar adult canine citizen.

My first few months on earth, I was a bit of a rolling stone searching for my direction homeI'd try & I'd try & I'd try but I couldn't get no satisfaction.  Luckily, I was "discovered" by Paws & Co. and transported to my amazing Foster Mom where I'm getting some much-deserved R-E-S-P-E-C-T.  When I'm not rocking out, I'm busy learning some basic obedience commands, playing fetch, squeaking those awesome toys, and bringin' some lovin' to those around me.    As you'd expect from a rocker, I have a bit of a rambunctious side but I'm a total softie on the inside (I think I fit perfectly into any human lap!)  I like to play rough with other dogs I've met but I have yet to meet any cats.  Of course, I'll need to meet any future family members before deciding if we can be rocker roomies.

I dream of an active home with a family who has the time and patience necessary to help me fully develop into a first-rate adult canine citizen.

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday [soon] you'll join [me]
And we'll live as one (or two...or three...)

I must send a should out to Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, John Lennon, Marvin Gaye & Arethra Franklin for having the top 5 rock songs of all time (& sharing the lyrics with me :o).

If you're interested in meeting the coolest dog in town, please email pawscoadoptions@gmail.com or fill out an adoption application on the Paws & Co. Adoptions website ASAP!

Stella

LOST: MY GROOVE!

Hello, friends! I'm Stella, a 3 year-young, 10-lb beauty who has the cutest butt-wiggle you've EVER seen!  When I first arrived with my Foster Family, I was quite shy & unsure of myself.  However, with each passing day, a tiny piece of my groove returns - as evidenced by my wiggling butt!

My foster family includes an awesome mom (I love following her all around the house) & 2 canine siblings (I especially love playing with the smaller pup but am still adjusting to the larger guy).  During all of the recent Colorado rain, I loved snuggling with the entire family and watching movies (while gifting my foster mom lots of cozy kisses!)  I'm already house-trained, crate-trained and I'm not too much of a barker.  I'm a bit on the skinny side but that's quickly changing with all the yummy food & treats I'm receiving!  As young children and cats aren't part of my current living arrangement, please inquire  about our likely compatibility if such creatures are part of your family.

Are you the fabulous person who can help such a friendly, sweet gal regain her groove?  If so, please  email pawscoadoptions@gmail.com or fill out an adoption application on the Paws & Co. Adoptions website ASAP!

Fritz

Guten Tag! I'm Fritz, a 1 year-young, 5-lb terrier searching for my Forever Family. My name, Fritz, originated as a German nickname for Fredrich and I'm happy for you to call me whatever you'd like as long as you'll offer me a lifetime of love and snuggles!

Not too much is known about my first few months of life but, somehow I'm already potty-trained AND crate-trained - pretty amazing for such a petite guy!  My intelligence is apparent in how quickly I'm learning basic obedience commands in my foster home (I've already perfected the art of "begging!)  I seem to get along well with children and all adult humans I've met.  With regards to any future 4-legged siblings, I have yet to meet a cat and, when it comes to canines, I have a submissive personality so, if I'm to have a canine sibling, I'd prefer it to be a calmer, friendly pup (who wouldn't!?!).

If you're searching for a cuddly, friendly, happy canine companion, please email pawscoadoptions@gmail.com or fill out an adoption application on the Paws & Co. Adoptions website and mention Fritz! Ciao!

Eddie

Hi-ya!  My name is Eddie and I'm a 10-month young, 45-lb cute-as-a-button Shar Pei/Heeler puppy.  I ended up with Paws & Co. after my former family didn't have time to care for such a young, energetic pup as myself.  While leaving my former family is a bit sad, I'm enjoying my foster home & I'm oh-so-excited to meet my Forever Family!

My favorite pass-time includes playing with toys & balls - come to think of it, playing in about *any* way is pretty darn fantastic!  In fact, I tend to play rather rough so I can overwhelm younger children (even though I LOOOVE them!) and probably shouldn't cohabitate with them at this point in my life.  I'm also not too much of a cat-kinda-guy so let's keep it to humans and other canines, ok?

While I might need some guidance as I grow up, I have a bit of a head start as I already know how to "sit", am potty-trained, crate-trained and I will grin ear-to-ear while we're working on my manners. I also love all people I've met and will even cuddle after a hard day of playing.

Are you an active Coloradan looking for a handsome, goofy, friendly 4-legged companion?  If so, please hurry up and email pawscoadoptions@gmail.com or fill out an adoption application on the Paws & Co. Adoptions website (mentioning Eddie!) today!

Maya Modelo

Hola amigos! I'm Maya Modelo, a 1 year-old, 5 lb Chihuahua who is quite a looker (I've been compared to Penelope Cruz!) I am loving life with my foster family after some not-so-great human abandoned me in a stranger's unlocked car (in the summer, nonetheless!?!)  Luckily, the car's owner found me and helped me find my way to Paws & Co. where I'm eagerly awaiting my Forever Family!

Since arriving with my foster family, I've enjoyed the company of other dogs as well as all people I've met.  The nice car owner says I was good with cats but my Paws & Co. foster family is feline- and child-free so Paws & Co. can't say for sure.  Of course, I'll need to meet all potential family members (both 2- and 4-legged) before committing to a lifetime relationship.

I'm quickly adjusting to being part of a family & I love to cuddle up on human laps.  When I'm not cuddling, my favorite activities include playing hide-and-seek (under the bed is one of my favorite hiding places), getting belly rubs and going on walks (I'm very well-behaved on a leash!)  I am crate-trained, quickly learning basic obedience and I don't seem to be much of a talker (no English, Spanish or Dog-lish!) I really don't appreciate very loud noises so I hope to be part of a calmer environment.

If you're searching for a pint-sized lover to join your family, please email pawscoadoptions@gmail.com or fill out an adoption application on the Paws & Co. Adoptions website today - remembering to mention Maya Modelo! I look forward to meeting you soon! Hasta luego!
