Claymore

I've heard that a fairy tale goes something like this...an adorable youngster has a rough start in life (that's ME, Claymore!); some fantastic force or being (that's YOU!) goes above-&-beyond to intervene; finally, there is a happy ending (that's US!) Fabulous! I'm excited to see how my fairy tale unfolds.

I'm Claymore, a 15-lb perfect-mutt-of-a-pup (maybe Australian Cattle Dog/Jack Russell?!?) who was born around June 2013. No one at Paws & Co. is exactly sure what my first few months involved but we can tell you that I, somehow, ended up as a stray in rural Colorado (that's my "rough start" I was referring to).  Despite my homeless roots, I'm a happy-go-lucky pup who *loves* playing with all pups and humans I've met!  I don't even mind the resident cat in my foster home!  My current favorite activities include any sort of puppy-play (wrestling with other dogs, playing with toys, etc, etc), car rides, giving wet kisses and napping in a ray of sunshine!

I'm not quite sure what fairy-tale character I most resemble.  If I was female (which I'm most definitely NOT!), I might be Cinderella with my large-dog-body proportions but perfectly tiny little paws!  Since I'm male through-and-through (never mind my neutering…hee!hee!), I might just be compared to Aladdin (he rises from a humble beginning to confident hero) - or Eric (the dreamy prince from the Little Mermaid).  Actually, right now, I might best be compared to a young Simba as I'm still learning what, exactly, is expected of a stellar adult canine citizen.  Like any young'un, I'll need a family with the time, patience and commitment to help me develop into that fairy-tail family companion that you desire!

Are you the fantastic being with whom I can share my fairy tail ending? If so, please email  pawscoadoptions@gmail.com or fill out an adoption application on the Paws & Co. Adoptions website today!

Aspen

Winter is quickly approaching and I think you need a little "Aspen" to keep you warm and cozy! Hi-ya! I'm Aspen - a 4 month-young Shepherd/Boxer perfect mix of a pup who, along with my sister Breckenridge, is searching for my Forever Family!  While Breck and I absolutely love romping around & learning the "puppy ropes" together, we're definitely open to being adopted into separate families (as long as both families are super stellar!)  We both get along with all pups, cats and humans we've met so far and the more social interactions we can experience at a young age, the merrier we'll grow up to be!!

I'm a bit more reserved than my sister Breck but both of our personalities are developing exponentially each day! Like all young puppies, I definitely need a family with the love, dedication and patience to teach me what, exactly, are desired traits and characteristics of an adult canine family member.  I promise you'll enjoy the teaching "ride" though, as my silly puppy antics seem endless (and there's no way you'll b e able to resist my tricolored face & textbook puppy eyes)!!!

So, how about adding a little Aspen warmth to your winter?  Let's start our life journey by your emailing  pawscoadoptions@gmail.com or filling out an adoption application on the Paws & Co. Adoptions website today and mentioning Aspen!

Breckenridge

Howdy! I'm Breckenridge - a 4-month young Shepherd/Boxer mix who, along with my sister Aspen, is searching for my Forever Family!  Although Aspen is pretty darn fun, we are both open to being into separate families (as long as they are both equally stellar!)  We both get along with all humans, pups and cats we've met but the more social interactions we experience at a young age, the merrier we'll both grow up to be!

As a young'un destined to grown into a large adult dog, I definitely need a family with the patience, time & commitment to teach me the adult-canine-ropes.  As the more adventurous & outgoing of the sisters, I'll need ample time and space to allow my puppy-energy to be directed in a healthy, productive manner.  At the end of a long day of romping, I look forward to an evening of snuggling and loving before turning in for a long winter’s night.

So how about adding a little Breck warmth to your Colorado winters (and summers too!)  Let's get started by your emailing  pawscoadoptions@gmail.com or filling out an adoption application on the Paws & Co. Adoptions website today and mentioning Breckenridge!

Fred

Who's graceful, handsome and has a heart of gold? This guy! Yessiree...that's me - Fred (named after Fred Astaire, of course!)  I'm a 54-lb American Bulldog/Boxer mix who my foster mom describes as sweet, cooperative, mellow, people-pleaser, affectionate and a fast learner (and, yes, those are the exact adjectives she used!)

At one-year-young, I have some learning to do but, don't worry as I'm already very well-behaved on a leash, not too much of a barker and I'm potty-trained!  I enjoy the company of all people I've encountered (including the children in my foster home) but I don't have too much experience with other cats or dogs yet.  If 4-legged creatures are part of your family, please don't hold my lack of witnessed encounters against me - we just need to make sure we all meet each other and agree to a life-long cohabitation commitment!

Might you be my Ginger Rogers?  Or my Cary Grant or Gene Kelly?  Actually, I'll go for any John or Jane Doe as long as you'll love me Forever!  Let's start our life-long jig by you emailing  pawscoadoptions@gmail.com or filling out an adoption application on the Paws & Co. Adoptions website today and mentioning Fred!

Peanut

Hello there! My name is Peanut and I am one appreciative guy (appropriate for this month of November, don't you think?)   I'm thankful that at 4-years young, I have a new lease on life after being rescued from a rural Colorado shelter.  I'm thankful for the amazing kids in my foster home (I love playing hide-and-seek with them!)  I'm thankful for snuggles (I love reading bedtime stories in bed with my foster family!), a warm, loving home and squeaker toys!

At 36-lbs, I'm just a peanut for an American Bulldog.  I'm thankful for my good looks, smarts (I quickly learned "sit" and "high-five" in my foster home) and dog treats (they're magical in helping me learn what's expected of a family dog!)  I'm thankful for my foster canine sibling and I'm thankful for those squirrels in the backyard that I like to chase!  I'm not quite sure how I feel about those "cat" creatures as I've never lived with one so please check with the Paws & Co. folks if a cat is part of your family.

I hear there's a big meal in a few weeks where us American's sit around and say what we're thankful for before devouring the biggest meal of the year?!?  I sure hope that my gratitude on that special Thansgiving Day includes my new Forever Family!  If you're interested in meeting the most grateful pup around, please email
pawscoadoptions@gmail.com or fill out an adoption application on the Paws & Co. Adoptions website TODAY (I don't want to miss that big meal!)

Bogart

Love. Snuggles. Playing chase with my canine friends. -"The stuff (canine) dreams are made of" (-Humphrey Bogart, The Maltese Falcon)

Good day! I'm Bogart, a pint-sized dude searching for my Forever Family. Although I'm "billed" as a terrier/chihuahua mix, I think I'm better classified as a miniature shepherd. At one year old, I'm still in my adolescent phase but I've got a head-start on those "manner" things as I'm potty-trained, crate-trained and working on basic obedience commands.  I get along well with my 50-lb canine foster sibling and I'd love to share my home with another well-behaved pup.  My foster home also includes a resident grouchy cat (my foster mom said it's ok to refer to him that way!) and we pretty much just ignore each other.  I haven't spent too much time around kids but I'd likely get along well with any polite creatures so please inquire with the Paws & Co. folks so we can arrange a Meet & Greet!!

Might you reading my this barkography be the "...beginning of a beautiful friendship" (-Humphrey Bogart,Casablanca)? We'll be one step closer to discovering each other if you'll email pawscoadoptions@gmail.com or fill out an adoption application on the Paws & Co. Adoptions website (and don't forget to mention Bogart!)

Rosie

“Ring around OUR Rosie,
A pocket full of posies,
Ashes! Ashes!
We all fall down!”
That innocent nursery rhyme is what my dreams are made of - a happy family with a lifetime of love to share!
Hi there! I’m Rosie – a 50 lb. German Shepherd actively searching for my Forever Family.  I’m a great gal whose been dealt a couple of heartbreaks in my life.  My first guardian was elderly and I ended up in a local shelter.  I was then adopted by an amazing life-long German Shepherd lover but, recently, he also passed away.  While I’m so grateful to have shared so much family love in my life, I’m again on the search for a Family to call my own!
At 4 years-young, I have all of that annoying puppy-stuff out of the way – I’m housetrained, know basic obedience commands and promise not to chew your slippers!  I love the company of all people and have adored the children and grandchildren, nieces & nephews in my family.  I’m not a huge fan of other dogs nor cats so I need to be your only 4-legged friend (although I’ll do my darnedest to fulfull all your furry-friend-pet-loving-needs!)
While my favorite activity is cuddling and “hanging” with my humans (I like to be in the mix of it all!), I also enjoy daily exercise (chasing squirrels around the yard is sure fun!), carrying bones around my home, and getting a good tummy or butt rub!
If  a well-mannered gal who loves people more than herself might fit well into your clan, please email pawscoadoptions@gmail.com or fill out an adoption application on the Paws & Co. Adoptions website TODAY!

Tiger Lily

Good day! I'm Tiger Lily - a 30-lb (pocket-sized!) American Bulldog mix who is beautiful both inside and out - just like my namesake flower!  As you can tell from my photo hugging one of Paws & Co.'s amazing volunteers, I absolutely love to dole out affection (that photo was snapped right as I arrived in Denver after transport & the volunteers promised me that they'd make sure I'm safe and cared for forever!)  While I'm not sure how such a friendly, beautiful gal ended up a stray, I did end up wandering the streets of a rural Colorado town.  Luckily, I was taken to a local shelter and, ultimately, rescued by Paws & Co. before my time was "up" (that was a little too close for comfort...gulp!)

I was quite skinny upon arrival to the rural shelter (such a small gal isn't so good at fending for herself out there!) and I'm appreciating several healthy meals a day while I work back up to my ideal girly-figure.  At about 2 years-young, I am rather playful and I excel at playing fetch!  I'm currently living with a female canine foster sibling and we are trying to figure out whose boss - so it might be better if I live with a male canine Forever sibling (or a submissive female).  I have yet to meet any cats or young children so I'm not quite sure what I think of them - but please inquire with the Paws & Co. team if such creatures are part of your family!

It seems that I haven't lived as an indoor pet before but I'm quickly learning about such fun things as leash-walks (I want to stay *right* by your side!), basic obedience commands (I want nothing more than to please *you*!), potting outside (I'm *quickly* getting the hang of this!) and couch-cuddles (my *favorite*!).

My foster family says I remind them of "Boo" from "Monsters, Inc." as I'm an adorable, brave little girl who is just looking for friends, love & someone to snuggle with!  If you're searching for a snuggle-bug, then look no further!  Please email pawscoadoptions@gmail.com or fill out an adoption application on the Paws & Co. Adoptions website TODAY!

Boomer

Did you know that, according to our friends down under, "Boomer" is a nickname for an adult male kangaroo?  Perfect name for such a handsome, energetic guy in North America given that my favorite position is "upside down" - and Australians are "upside down" in relation to us North Americans…get it?!?  HeeHee!  That''s my best attempt at an attention-grabbing joke…

Now that you're smiling, let me introduce myself.  I'm Boomer - a jokester, 45-lb Shar pei mix who is searching for my Forever Family!  I was transported to my foster family after having been found as a stray in rural Colorado and I'm quickly learning what is expected of a fantastic canine family member.

Given that I was neutered soon after arrival in my foster home, I've spent the first few days in the so-called "cone of shame".  Luckily, this dreaded cone is temporary and I'd love to be part of an active Colorado Family (hiking, anyone?!?)  I get along well with other dogs I've met - as well as several younger children I've met.  My only witnessed cat encountered involved an intimidating hiss from the feline - which startled me a bit.  I do enjoy chasing squirrels so I'm not quite sure if I'd like to cohabitate with a cat (well…I'd enjoy it but the  cat might not…hee!hee!).  Like all adoptable animals, I'll need to meet any potential future family members before we all make a life-long commitment.

At one-year young, I'm an enthusiastic and playful adolescent who will need a family with the time, patience and dedication to help me develop into that adult dog we all want to be part of our family.  While we're all learning about each other, I promise to keep you laughing with my clumsy, goofy jokey self!!

If you're searching for a canine with a sense of humor, look no further!  Please either email pawscoadoptions@gmail.com or fill out an adoption application on the Paws & Co. Adoptions website TODAY and make sure to mention Boomer!

Sam (Sam-I-Am)

I am Sam! I am Sam! Sam I am that Sam-I-Am!
Don't you want a pint sized pup in your fam?

Howdy! I'm Sam - a 4-5lb, 2-year young Chihuahua/Terrier Mix searching for his Forever Fam!

I'm a friendly character who enjoys the company of all people (including kids!) and other small dogs I've met.  I find the larger dogs a bit intimidating as I'm about the size of one of their paws - but I could probably live with any calm dog no matter their size (I try not to be a "size-ist" if you know what I mean!)  I have yet to meet any cats so I'm not quite sure what I think about them.  I strive to always be polite - no potty-accidents in the house & I opt against chewing your shoes and other fancy belongings.  I'm not a big toy fan but will take full advantage of every potential cuddling opportunity so I'm looking for a family with lap(s)-a-plenty!

Are you that lucky human to say...

I like a pint sized pup in my fam!
I do! I like that Sam-I-Am!

Let's find out SOON! You can start by emailing  pawscoadoptions@gmail.com or filling out an adoption application on the Paws & Co. Adoptions website TODAY! Thank you! Thank you! Love, Sam-I-Am!

Marshall

"May I have your attention please?
May I have your attention please?
Will the real 'Marshall-The-Yellow-Lab' please stand up?"

Ahem?!?  Yes, that's me.  I'm Marshall and I'm an amazingly handsome Yellow Labrador with stunning green eyes and quite the strong personality (just like my namesake Marshall Mathers III (better known as Slim Shady)).  Now, I know that Slim Shady guy can be a bit intimidating and feels the need to use various expletives, but don't worry, I only speak doglish so no expletives will be rolling out of my tongue (and I'm not intimidating at all...unless you're that cat that I'd love the chance to chase).  I'm just a goofy, 1-2 y/o, 45-lb. guy looking for the perfect family to love me FOREVER!

Although I'm already house trained, I'll need a family with the time and patience to teach me exactly what is expected of a polite adult canine citizen.  I'm not too fond of being confined in a crate and I love to jump on furniture (in fact trying to be "King of the Bed" is one of my favorite games I play with my foster mom (I have yet to win that game...although I'm not sure how she resists my puppy eyes?!?)  I love to be the center of attention and am not too much of a toy-fan (unless there's nothing more exciting going on around me...)

I really love all people I've met so far in my foster home, although I have yet to meet any little  human tykes.  I also have limited experience with either cats or dogs during my short stay with Paws & Co. so please check with the adoption folks if any non-adult and/or canine/feline creatures are part of your family.

"I'm a man, I'ma make a new plan
Time for me to just stand up, and travel new land (or, at least to a new home)
Time for me to just take matters into my own hands (with Paws & Co.'s assistance, of course)
Once I'm over these tracks man I'ma never look back (well, my Foster Mom's pretty darn awesome so I'll remember her fondly...)" -8 Mile

If a handsome, independent, goofball dog might fit well into your family, please email pawscoadoptions@gmail.com or fill out an adoption application on the Paws & Co. Adoptions website TODAY!

Noodle the Poodle

Hi-ya! I'm Noodle the Poodle and I'm quite a Snuggle Bug!! My foster mom describes me as an "absolute gem" of a gal who is very easy to have around.  I'm not sure how such a tiny (10-lb), precious gem ended up as a stray in rural Colorado but it happened (insert sad face here).  Lucky for me (insert smiley face here!), I was snatched up by the awesome Paws & Co. team and I'm eager to meet my Forever Family!

I'm good with all dogs I've met and I absolutely *adore* my cat foster sibling!  I also enjoy all humans I've encountered although I can't specifically say how I'll enjoy those younger tikes given that I don't currently live with any non-adult humans.  I'm quickly learning basic obedience commands as well as what is expected of a stellar adult canine sibling (I actually enjoy the crate for short amounts of time).  Although my favorite activity is *definitely* snuggling up near my human, canine or feline companions, I still have some puppy energy and can play with the best of 'em!  And, I almost forgot to mention that us poodles are one of the most hypoallergenic dog breeds (less shedding and less dander than many other breeds!!)

If you're on the search for a petite Noodle-Poodle-Snuggle-Bug companion to join your family, please email pawscoadoptions@gmail.com or fill out an adoption application on the Paws & Co. Adoptions website today!
