Charlie

Hello there. I'm Charlie (short for Charles) and I hear millions of dollars have been placed on wagers about the name of the new British prince.  No need to think any further, folks, you should put your money on "His Royal Highness (HRH) Prince Charles of Cambridge".  And, if I happen to be incorrect, please feel free to use that prestigious name to refer to me - seems perfectly appropriate for such a handsome and distinguished 10-lb adolescent terrior mix, don't you agree?

Somehow, HRH Charlie (ie, me!) ended up in a Colorado shelter but my royalty was recongized and I was transferred to an amazing foster dad through Paws & Co. where I've been enjoying life to the fullest!  Not too much is known about my first 1-2 years on earth, but rest assured that I'm intelligent and I strive to be a perfect gentleman (I only potty outdoors and I'm quickly learning indoor manners).  I am fully aware of expectations of being a prince and I've been polite and friendly with all people and canines I've met.  I've yet to meet a feline friend or young human so, if a cat or children are part of your family, we should likely arrange a meeting before deciding if we could all cohabitate in a polite fashion.

If you'd like to experience snuggling with royalty (I LOVE snuggles - but don't tell anyone as I know us royals have a certain image to protect!), please call *** and ask for HRH Charlie! So long for now.

Wyatt

Wyatt bio
Yipee! Wahoo! Howdy folks! I’m Wyatt – a 9-month old ball of energy just waiting to bound my way into your family!  I might just be the friendliest pup y’all will ever lay eyes on…I LOVE all people I’ve met so far – and, although I have no experience living with kiddos, I’m sure interested in those lil’ buggers…
No one is quite sure what flavor of mutt I am – possibly lab & boxer?!?  Really, though, I’m not sure why you humans even care as I’m 100% perfect & I hear y’all have DNA tests if y’all really feel the need to know…hee!hee!
I made my way to Paws & Co. from a shelter in Lamar and am really enjoying my foster family – including my 4-legged canine sibling (who I’m mostly submissive too).   I’d love to be part of an active family – maybe a jogger or hiker or all-around Coloradan at heart.  Like any puppy, I’ll need a family with loving patience who can help me grow up to be a stellar adult canine citizen.  Don’t worry, though, during training, I’ll keep you smiling with my frequent kisses, head tilt, perky ears and white eyelashes on the white side of my perfect lil’ face!!!  I don’t have any experience with a cat so we’d need to arrange a meeting if a feline is part of your family.
If you’re looking for a young lad who is eager to please and has many years of love to share, I’m the perfect pup for you! Please call *** TODAY and ask for Wyatt! Yeehaw!!

Teddy

Hi! I’m Teddy and “Life in the PAST Lane” describes my path to Paws & Co.!  You see, I’m a 40-lb, Chow mix who was rescued as a stray in Burlington, Colorado (where their Museum motto is “Life in the PAST Lane”).  I got so tired of hearing about the PAST so I hitched a ride to my FUTURE: first stop – my amazing foster family in Denver!
I’m one bright dude – figuring out how to use a doggie door in less than 60 seconds by watching my canine-foster-sibling.  I’m adjusting to my FUTURE life indoors and I thoroughly enjoy snuggling, getting brushed (I’ll lay submissively while you brush my beautiful fur), sleeping on a dog bed next to my foster parents and romping with all dogs I’ve met! I even enjoy meeting new pup pals when I’m out & about on a leash!  In addition to canine siblings, my FUTURE could even include children as I’ve met several and have been on my best behavior!  I have yet to meet a feline friend so if a cat is part of your family, we’d need to meet before deciding whether we could be FUTURE roomies.
If your FUTURE includes a friendly, loving and (ah-hem) handsome 4-legged family member, please hurry up and call *** and ask for Teddy!

Austin

Tush? Bottom? Buttocks? Backside? Whatever you humans call that part of my anatomy, I’ve got an amazing one and I love to wiggle it!  I’m Austin, a 1 year-old, 25-lb wire-haired terrior with a lifetime of love & tush-wiggles waiting just for you!  Although no one is exactly sure how I spent my first year of life, I consider myself quite a lucky guy to have ended up actively searching for my Forever Family through Paws & Co.  Since arriving with my foster family, I’ve been busy playing with my squeaky toys, showing off how smart I am (I am potty-trained & quickly learned how to use a doggie door) and demonstrating just how much I love humans (including kids!) and other pups.  I’ve yet to have a witnessed interaction with a cat so, if you have a feline friend in your family, we’ll need a supervised visit to see how we get along.
While playing with humans & dogs is definitely my favorite pastime, I love to cuddle up with humans and doze the night away (I try really hard to stay still so we can all sleep peacefully!)  And, as if I haven’t given enough reasons why I’m your perfect canine companion, I’m also hypoallergenic!!
So, if you’re dreaming of an attractive, young, active, eager, smart pup with a hypoallergenic, wiggly tush, I'm the man for you!  Please call *** and ask for Austin!

Rewey

Update: Rewey was adopted!

Chow Chow through and through :)

Did you know that according to a survey by the American Animal Hospital Association, 70% of you humans sign your pet's name on greeting cards and 58% include their 4-legged family members in their holiday portraits?  Woah Baby - I want to be in that majority of dogs!  My name is Rewey (pronounced "Rooey") and I'm a 2-year-young 55-lb Chow Chow who is nothing if not true to my breed.  For starters, I'm a playful, smiley pup who will bound around when you talk to me in that high-excited voice that you dog-lovers like to use.  I'm also stunningly beautiful and you'll long remember my brilliant eyes after we first meet.  Like many chows, I am a bit head-shy and don't like anything placed over my head.  And, while I love licking your hands when they're presented in front of my face, I don't really love those vigorous pets on the body that some humans like to provide (because of this, I probably shouldn't live with smaller kids).

I am housetrained and know some basic obedience commands.  I also *love* the snow (a photo of me in the snow might be just *perfect* for that 2011 Holiday card!

Speaking of holidays, they are quickly approaching!  Are you the special human who will welcome me into your family for the holiday season?!?  My paws are crossed that you might even include me in your 2011 family holiday portrait (it's not too late - those online card companies are offering overnight shipping!)  Let's start our life-long journey together by you coming on down to MaxFund and asking for Rewey!

Shayla

12/20/11: Shayla was adopted!

Sweet, beautiful girl.

Greetings!  I'm Shayla and I'm an intelligent, glass-half-full kinda' girl.  One might ask, "Why the optimistic attitude when you're currently residing in a shelter, Shayla?"  Well, my name "Shayla" means "from the fairy palace."  And since I have yet to see that fairy tale palace, I just KNOW that it's in my immediate future!  I spend my days here checking out all visitors to see if they're the king, queen, prince or princess who has arrived to sweep me away to my happily-ever-after!

I'm a 5-year young, 65-lb doberman who has been described by folks around MaxFund as friendly, loving and quite the cuddler.  Not too much is known about my past as my previous guardian had to leave unexpectedly on a prolonged absence and (s)he didn't have time to tell anyone what a great gal I am.  However, a good samaritan took me in and brought me to MaxFund where I have the best chance of meeting my new royal guardians!

I was a superstar when I underwent my temperance tests here at MaxFund.  While I'm an active gal, the doggie temperament expert thinks I'll be a good, mellow companion who will fit well into most families.  I also know basic obedience commands such as sit and stay.  The MaxFund folks think my previous guardian yelled at me quite a bit so I'm hoping for a home where the guardians prefer to use their "indoor voices" when communicating (such as is fitting any royal family!)

If you're looking to add a loving, beautiful young royal to your family, please HURRY into MaxFund ASAP and ask for Shayla.  Let's start our happily-ever-after sooner-rather-than-later!!
