Carlee

1/29/11 Update: Carlee's 2-week trial adoption turned into a real adoption!!

Do your ears hang low?
Do they wobble to and fro?
Can you tie 'em in a knot?
Can you tie 'em in a bow?

Oh...excuse me...I was just crooning away over here.  Hi!  I'm Carlee - a clownish, 6-month old, female basset hound.  I came to MaxFund as a very starved little puppy and I've gently and kindly been nursed back to health.  I am currently about 25lbs but still have some growin' to do!

Aren't my ears fantastic?  I'm finally big enough that they don't sweep along the ground when I walk around town - but they're still quite impressive!  Some of my favorite passtimes include receiving (and giving) pets and lovin', car rides, walks and
especially
wrestling around with other young pups here at MaxFund!  I've heard about those "other" 4-legged creatures called cats but haven't met any yet.  Like all youngin's, I will need guidance, consistency and help with boundaries to become a stellar adult canine.  And, of course, I'll need moderate daily exercise to stay fit - even if I look perfectly content laying in front of your fire.  Did I mention how much I love food rewards?  Basset Hounds are champion beggars and live for food.  My genes, combined with the fact that I was starved as a wee pup, mean that I take my food very seriously.  In other words, I am very treat-motivated - which should help in my obedience training!

Let's make a deal.  I'll bring you my clownish antics and help you appreciate the simple things in life - you bring me a safe, loving family to grow up in.  I trust we'll both be winners!  You can start our jouney together by visiting MaxFund and asking for "Carlee"!  If I'm not in the Big Dog Room, I'm probably outside playing with the other pups and making people around me smile :)
