Hello! My name is Shiner and I'm a 2 year-old lab mix with the most beautifully perfect round, golden eyes ever! I was found as a stray near Bailey, Colorado and am grateful that someone brought me down to the big city...and MaxFund! No one ever claimed me during my stray-hold so I find myself here eagerly waiting to find my Forever Family...and what a lucky family they will be as I'm a fabulous four-legged citizen!
Most people are initially drawn to my beautiful golden puppy-dog eyes and wrinkly forehead that you can see in this photo of me! Once we meet, they're not disappointed! People love to pet my long, soft golden fur. And, even better, once we really get a chance to know each other, they love how good I am on a leash and how eager I am to please! I also enjoy the company of other dogs and I can even tolerate cats. I know how to sit and I love treats! As the people at MaxFund don't know if I've ever lived in a home, they aren't sure if I'm housebroken. With that said, they have noticed that I sure seem to "hold it" and prefer to do my duties outside of my kennel...after all, I want to be a good member of your family!
So, I'm a big, beautiful, loving, easygoing guy whose eager to please...what could be better?!? If you're in the neighborhood, won't you come by and meet me? I'd prefer to get to know you outside of the sometimes stressful shelter environment...so let's go on a walk! I just know that I can impress you!
