1/22/11 Update: Ruby went home to her New Family!
Oh, Ruby! I love this gal! Actually, I was at the shelter today and she met a wonderful couple who just lost their other basset hound and seemed to really like Ruby! She rolled right on over in the lobby to show them her cute not-so-little belly! Hope to hear she's adopted in the next few days!
“You've painted up your lips
And rolled and curled your tinted hair
Ruby are you contemplating
Going out somewhere
The shadow on the wall
Tells me the sun is going down
Oh Ruby
Don't take your love to town”
Man, I love Kenny Roger’s ode to me! I keep trying to call him and let him know that I’m spayed so he has absolutely nothing to worry about! But, I just keep hearing him crooning away…poor Kenny.
Hi ya’ll! I’m Ruby, a 2-year old Basset Hound. I came to MaxFund as a stray. Of course, most people are drawn to my floppy ears and pitiful looking eyes. But, don’t let those eyes fool you – I’m an upbeat, optimistic girl who is patiently waiting for my Forever Family!
I love all people and especially love belly rubs. I’m carrying a little extra weight right now so am looking forward to walking it off as part of your family. Speaking of walks, I’m excellent on a leash and love greeting other people and friendly dogs.
I sure hope you’ll visit me at MaxFund. I’m in the Big Dog room and I just know that you won’t be able to pass up these eyes. And, maybe we can celebrate our new Family by crooning together (along with Kenny, of course!)
