Urain...MaxFund Crush #2!

Man, this guy is AWESOME!  He's been adopted and I sure hope life is everything he deserves!  I spent an entire Saturday with him - he even met some of my friends!!  I believe his bio took the most thought and research...

Hey ya'll!  My name is Urain and I am an American guy - blue eyes and all!  In case you didn't know, my Catahoula ancestors are believed to have occupied North America longer than almost any other dog breed (we're also called the Louisiana catahoula leopard dog).  This, in combination with my Great Dane roots (the American Kennel club describes us having a regal appearance, dignity, strength, and elegance), I might just be the perfect dog.  But, don't worry, I'm not egotistical - just a confident, fun-loving young guy who appreciates where I come from.  And, speaking of where I come from, I was so fortunate to get a second chance at life when I was transferred to MaxFund from a high-kill shelter in the mountains.  

After being in the mountains a while, I'm sure enjoying the big city of Denver!  I love attention from all people - and the loud noises in the city and crowds of people don't startle me at all.  I'm very well-behaved on a leash, but, don't fret, I still have my playful puppy-moments at 2-years young!  And, I'm not set on staying in the city as I know that I'd love exploring the great Colorado outdoors!  Whether playing indoors or outdoors, I just love to play!   When humans invite me to play, I love to kneel down on my front legs, jump around and play chase!  I love treats and already know how to sit.  I really enjoy being around well-behaved dogs and older children and know that I'll make a great addition to your family.  At the end of the day, I look forward to cuddling right up to you (on your lap if you'll let me!) and relaxing in the contentment of my Forever Family.

I'm not exactly sure where my name comes from.  There's a rumor that it has something to do with Alexander the Great, or maybe another figure in Greek history.  And, really, I'm ok with that rumor.  Like Alexander, I'm a fabulous citizen and I dream of having a wonderful life and legacy as part of your family. 

From my genes, to my previous homes, to my name, this is where I come from.  Pretty impressive, eh!?!  Please come visit me!  I have so much to offer and I just know that you won't be able to pass up these baby blues and sweet spirit!
