When I heard that Maisy was a Lab/Pug mix, I googled Lab/Pug mix to see if there was a proper term. Nope. But I did find some person who had a post somewhere saying that her pug had been "raped" by a lab. Um...excuse me...there is no rape in the dog-world. And the fact that your pug is pregnant is actually YOUR fault...did you ever hear of spaying your dog? And, you better take your poor pug to the vet as they have trouble with labor/delivery even when the pups are from another small breed. Finding this post made me upset...so I had to turn to humor to write Maisy's bio. Hope it helps her find HER Family!
As I sit at MaxFund awaiting my Forever Family, I've been trying to figure out what a Pug/Lab mix would be called. Maybe a Pugrador? Or a labradug? Or a Plab? Oh heck....what about just a darn cute mutt?
Hello everyone! My name is Maisy and, as you might have guessed, I'm a Pug/Black Lab mix. I'm about a year old and weigh 30 lbs. And, yes, I am darn cute! You say you need more information than just knowing that I'm cute? Alrighty, then...here goes...
I'm a very lovable little pup - I will gladly roll over and let you rub my belly (hint! hint!) I really enjoy playing with other dogs - especially at dog parks! In fact, MaxFund has been letting me wrestle around with other young pups here in back of the shelter - so, if I'm not in my crate, please inquire about where I might be playing! Speaking of playing, I also love to play fetch and tug-of-war. Of course, I love getting treats and praise when I do something to make you happy. And, if I do say so myself, I'm pretty darn good at making people happy! I know basic obedience commands and I'm even housetrained and crate-trained! Even with all these fantastic qualities, I'll need consistency and guidance as any young pup would. I've never really met a cat so am not sure how I'd like to live with one. And, I probably prefer to not live with really small children - they can be rather unpredictable!
