Cassy...a big, black dog

Update: Cassy's name was on the adopted board today...yay!!!!

Black dogs are the last dogs to be adopted and the first to be euthanized in shelters (again, MaxFund is a true no-kill shelter).  I was so thrilled when Natalie (the co-pilot whose bio I posted a while ago) was adopted because I knew how tough it can be for big, black dogs to find a good home.  I actually met and did Cassy's bio on the same day.  She's an awesome dog - beautiful, playful and appreciative of any attention.  Unfortunately, Cassy is still at the shelter...I just don't understand!  She is such a sweetie - she just doesn't want to live with other female dogs.  I completely understand...I never met another female that I enjoyed living with either!!!  I search the "adoption board" at MF each time I go in hoping to see her name up there...

Well, howdy!  My name is Cassy and I'm a 4 year-old lab mix who loves to cuddle!  I was brought to MaxFund because I wasn't a good fit for my previous family.  However, I haven't let my past experiences get me down - I'm an optimistic gal looking for my true Forever Family!  Let me introduce myself...

First and foremost, I'm a very good girl.  I'm housetrained, good on a leash, know basic obedience (I even graduated obedience school!), and I'm crate trained.  My favorite things include cuddling and getting attention from my people!  As if that isn't enough, I like cats and horses!  How many dogs do you know that can say they have spent a lot of time with horses?!?  Well, I can!   I must mention that I prefer to not live with another female dog - I'm such a great, well-rounded lady that I think I can fulfill the female dog-gap in your life completely!  With that said, I think I would love to have the company of a friendly, male dog (wink! wink!)  But, don't worry, I'm spayed!

I dream of the day that I can spend my days romping with my new family, and evenings cuddled up with YOU!  I hope you can get a chance to stop by MaxFund and meet me!  I'm waiting in the big dog room and ready to prove that I'll make a great, loyal, life-long companion!
