Gage went home with his BEST FRIEND last week!

I hear you’re looking for a Best Friend?  Well…here I am!  My name is Gage and I’m the definitely (wo)man’s best friend!  I’m a 2.5 year-old, 77 lb yellow lab and I’m what everyone is looking for when they think of (wo)man’s best friend!

I was transferred to MaxFund from high-kill shelter as someone realized that they shouldn’t put-down (wo)man’s Best Friend!  Thank-you, Friend!!  Since I arrived at MaxFund, I carry my red kong toy ALL THE TIME!  In fact, I only put it down to eat and drink…well, sometimes, it falls out of my mouth when I sleep but I pick it right back up when I wake up!  I even walk on a leash carrying that beloved red kong!  When the 2-legged people see me jumping up in my crate with the big, red kong, they all smile.  I really love making my potential best friends smile…so I keep that kong in there! 

I’m a very friendly guy and really enjoy the company of all people and dogs.  MaxFund hasn’t seen me around kids or cats – but I sure don’t seem too excited by them when we’re out on walks so I would probably be fine.  They’re also not sure if I’m housetrained – but I can tell you that I much prefer to relieve myself outside of my current little home.

I’d love a Best Friend that is active as I love playing and going for walks.  I also know I’d love outdoor mountain sports such as hiking and I’d probably even love swimming (once the summer comes around, of course!)  I’m also a cuddler and love getting lovin’ from my Friends.  My fur is very soft and I just know you’ll love cozying right up to me!
